Join FWC on Thursday, February 26. 2026 as we present “Business Opportunities with the O’Hare Baggage Handling System Improvement Project and The 1901 Project.

The O’Hare Baggage Handling System Improvement Project is a major modernization effort at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, led by Turner Paschen Aviation Partners - a joint venture of Turner Construction Company, FH Paschen, d’Escoto Inc., GMA, SPAAN Tech, and Brown & Momen.

The 1901 Project is a transformative $7 billion private investment on Chicago’s West Side, celebrating the city’s energy, innovation, and resilience. The Phase I construction team for the 1901 Project’s West Parking Garage and Music Hall is led by McHugh Construction in joint venture with GMA and Ujamaa Construction. The project is expected to generate approximately 32,000 construction jobs overall, including 2,000 jobs in Phase I, along with an estimated 7,000 long-term operational jobs. The effort also prioritizes inclusive economic participation, targeting 30% MBE and 8% WBE opportunities.
