Join FWC for our April Member Luncheon as we welcome, Jennifer Robles, Project Manager, of the University of Chicago.  Jennifer, along with Peter Kuhn, Project Executive, with Bulley & Andrews, will present a project of great interest to our members and guests.

The Crerar Library is situated in the center of the University’s campus with frontage onto the Science Quad.  Due to its central location and current underutilization, it is an ideal resource for repurposing to provide space for expanding academic programs on campus. This project includes repurposing the Library to become a vibrant and collaborative environment for new programs.  It also includes providing modern, state of the art research spaces, offices, meeting areas, and student spaces to meet current and future space requirements for the Department of Computer Science and the Computation Institute. The remodeling includes an objective to make the building more inviting by providing additional day lighting.

The University of Chicago recently announced that they were expanding their commitment to increase participation of women, minorities, and Chicago residents in capital construction projects.  They are increasing their voluntary goal of women-owned companies to 6%, minority-owned companies to 35%, and Chicago residency goal to 40%.
