The USDOT DBE rules regarding DBE Certification and Compliance went into effect in November, 2014.  These rules can drastically effect a company’s ability to become certified and can impact a company’s ability to remain DBE certified.

Michelle Kantor, FWC's legal counsel, and Partner at McDonald Hopkins, LLC will be presenting the workshop for FWC.  Michelle is a nationally recognized speaker on women and minority small business certifications and federal and local government contracting.  Michelle will outline the new rules, their effect on your certifications, and what you should and should not do to ensure your continued eligibility for M/W/DBE status.  Please join FWC in their kick-off of educational sessions that help DBE/WBE/MBE owners in strategic organization and business planning for the immediate future.

Topics that will be discussed include:

- New USDOT DBE regulations that will impact your certifications and your bottom line

- New DBE Rules on Good Faith Efforts

-   Government climate on enforcement on DBE/MBE/WBE and federal small business certifications

- Tips to protect your DBE/MBE/WBE and federal certifications and remain eligible
